Draculas Blood Bank

Mr. Drac Cula's night job as a janitor

exploring

Continuing my exploration in background design lead me to wonder what it would be like creating backgrounds in the styles of past cartoons... heres one I created for Samurai Jack... the second is an idea for the Wolf Mann taxi shop ...done as though it were in a Loony Toons film

Hall concepts

While exploring styles for my films matte paintings I'm also working on a hallway for Chris' film. I think this will help tie down my designs. I tried to stay Romanesque in shape for definition… I can use color and texture to make the environment modern… I like the bottom picture the best… I think the angular shapes on the columns can direct the viewers eye to the action best and they represent an older design of a trident which symbolizes infinity for your piece

These are Style reference's for what I'm thinking about for the overall feel and design of the film. I'm trying to find a middle ground between stylized cartoons and realistic images.
